Description Dmitrij S. Kryzhevich 2011-02-17 08:35:18 UTC
Spec URL: http://krege.fedorapeople.org/kmldonkey/kmldonkey.spec
SRPM URL: http://krege.fedorapeople.org/kmldonkey/kmldonkey-2.0.5-1.fc14.src.rpm
Description:

Features:
 *Runs wherever KDE software runs.
 *Can handle multiple threads simultaneously.
 *Integrates with several browsers.
 *Can be used with traffic-shaping tools.
 *Can handle several security options.
It supports every protocol mldonkey can work with.

rpmlint kmldonkey-2.0.5-1.fc14.src.rpm kmldonkey-2.0.5-1.fc14.x86_64.rpm kmldonkey-devel-2.0.5-1.fc14.x86_64.rpm
kmldonkey.src:48: W: rpm-buildroot-usage %build make %{?_smp_mflags} -C %{_target_platform} DESTDIR=%{buildroot}
kmldonkey.x86_64: W: no-manual-page-for-binary kmldonkey
kmldonkey-devel.x86_64: W: no-documentation
3 packages and 0 specfiles checked; 0 errors, 3 warnings.

rpm-buildroot-usage: Any other way to install into %buildroot?
no-manual-page-for-binary: not a problem?
no-documentation: no documentation. It does not exist. As for me, I do not see any purpose in -devel bits for kmldoney at all. Still, they are exist.

Note: tarball version mismatch real version. This question was rised a year ago, but nothing changed.

* OK
# MUST: Header files must be in a -devel package. [19]
* OK
# MUST: If a package contains library files with a suffix (e.g. libfoo.so.1.1), then library files that end in .so (without suffix) must go in a -devel package. [19]
* OK
# MUST: In the vast majority of cases, devel packages must require the base package using a fully versioned dependency: Requires: %{name}%{?_isa} =
%{version}-%{release} [21]
* OK
# MUST: Packages must NOT contain any .la libtool archives, these must be removed in the spec if they are built.[20]
* OK
# MUST: Packages containing GUI applications must include a %{name}.desktop file, and that file must be properly installed with desktop-file-install in the %install section. If you feel that your packaged GUI application does not need a .desktop file, you must put a comment in the spec file with your explanation. [22]
