Description Deji Akingunola 2011-02-17 15:04:36 UTC
Description of problem:
I just did a fresh installation of F-15 (two days ago), and have found out that bash history is not saved after I close the terminal (using gnome-terminal-2.33.5-3.fc15.x86_64). In fact, I discovered .bash_history wasn't even created at all.
It still wont save history after I manually created .bash_history. Although, I've found out that if I close the terminal by running 'exit', then the history is saved.

The bug seems very similar to #169231 .

Thanks for the report.
This is not a bug. Bash will not save the history when is killed by signal. See the upstream answer http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-bash/2011-03/msg00054.html
