Description Gerald Henriksen 2011-02-20 02:52:26 UTC
Pan 0.134 has been released, is it possible to update to the new version for Fedora 15?

Modified spec file for pan-0.134

I modified this spec file from the pan-0.133 spec file and managed to get it to build on my system. It builds a fully functioning RPM for me.

Comment 2 Gerald Henriksen 2011-02-26 04:16:10 UTC
spec file needs to be updated to reflect that the new release will work with the current system version of gmime and pan no longer requires the old gmime22. I think gmime22 was specifically created for pan so perhaps some how flag gmime22 for removal when upgrading to the new version of pan.

Comment 3 Bas Mevissen 2011-02-28 11:52:24 UTC
Yes, that line should read:

BuildRequires:	gmime-devel >= 2.4.0

(see configure.in)

Comment 4 Adam Huffman 2011-05-15 12:29:55 UTC
Just had a look at this and found I needed to add intltool to the BuildRequires.

Comment 5 Petr Kovar 2011-05-30 11:55:12 UTC
FWIW, I'll be releasing a new version of pan this week.

Is Alexander Dalloz still acting as a package maintainer for pan?

Update SPEC file for Pan-0.135

Updated spec file per the notes that gmime22 was deprecated. Also added the buildrequires line for intltool, although I honestly have no idea what that is or why Pan requires it. I would be happy to be educated, though, should someone wish to take it upon themselves to explain that to me.

Comment 7 Petr Kovar 2011-06-24 12:04:41 UTC
Emailed Alexander Dalloz privately.

See http://freedesktop.org/wiki/Software/intltool

Basically, pan uses intltool for preparing and updating localization files for translators.
