I was trying to open some 7-zip (*.7z) archives. Xarchiver didn't crash on the first two, but it didn't read their contents correctly, either. (Either nothing at all, or strange characters.) Upon trying to open the third archive, Xarchiver crashed.

I've tried this a couple of times now, and Xarchiver either crashes, or it hangs. I'd upload the relevant archive files, except that they're about 80 Megabytes.

How to reproduce
-----
1.  Select File->Open
2. Highlight archive file to be opened
3.  Thud

Comment 2 Christoph Wickert 2011-03-06 19:19:20 UTC
Thanks for your detailed but report. xarchiver is known to crash often on 7z archives.

I have forwarded your bug report to the developer at https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=3201506&group_id=140153&atid=745600

Further investigation of this crash should take place upstream. I will get back
to you if I need more information and notify you if the crash was fixed in
Fedora. Feel free to subscribe to that bug report in order to get notified of
changes.
