Description Joachim Frieben 2011-02-21 07:40:42 UTC
Description of problem:
For the latest Koji build of gcc, i686 and x86_64 versions of libstdc++ cannot be updated because of conflicting files in /usr/share/gcc-4.6.0/python/libjava.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
gcc-4.6.0-0.8.fc15

How reproducible:
Always.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Try to install both of libstdc++-4.6.0-0.8.fc15.x86_64 and libstdc++-4.6.0-0.8.fc15.i686.

Actual results:
yum complains about conflicting files aotcompile.pyc, aotcompile.pyo, classfile.pyc, classfile.pyo in directory /usr/share/gcc-4.6.0/python/libjava.

Expected results:
Both packages can be installed on the same system.

Additional info:
The conflicting files were absent from libstdc++-4.6.0-0.7.fc15.

Comment 6 Joachim Frieben 2011-02-23 20:37:15 UTC
* Tue Feb 22 2011 Jakub Jelinek <jakub redhat com> 4.6.0-0.9
- don't ship aotcompile.py* and classfile.py* in libstdc++ (#678982)

but files aotcompile.py* and classfile.py* -still- exist for this build, and conflict still prevents additional install of libstdc++.i686.
