I found this bug on python 2.7.8.fc14.1 and there's also an upstream bug report on it [1]. The explanation of the bug and the fix are there, so I don't think I have to repeat them here. 

The fix is pretty simple and upstream has already solved it in their code. Could we also have this fix in F14?

This message is a notice that Fedora 14 is now at end of life. Fedora 
has stopped maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 14. It is 
Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no 
longer maintained.  At this time, all open bugs with a Fedora 'version'
