Description Ian Pilcher 2011-02-25 04:53:27 UTC
Description of problem:
After the most recent orca update, orca is now being autostarted in KDE
(within a somewhat borked gnome-terminal no less).

ps reveals that kdeinit4 is running:

gnome-terminal -x /usr/bin/orca --no-setup --disable main-window --disable splash-window --disable magnifier --enable speech --enable braille

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
orca-2.91.90-1.fc15.x86_64

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Log in to KDE.

Actual results:
gnome terminal appears and slowly resizes itself. "Welcome to ?" is played
through the speakers. (The last word is unclear; it plays at the same time
as the KDE startup sound.)

Expected results:
No window; no sound.

Comment 1 Ian Pilcher 2011-02-25 04:58:22 UTC
Removing /etc/xdg/autostart/orca-autostart.desktop corrects this behavior.
Does it need a "OnlyShowIn=GNOME;" line?

Comment 2 Andre Moreira Magalhaes 2011-03-25 06:02:20 UTC
Reproducible here with orca-2.91.91-1.fc15.x86_64.

Adding OnlyShowIn=GNOME; to /etc/xdg/autostart/orca-autostart.desktop as stated in comment @1 fixes it.
