Description Michael Young 2011-02-25 17:14:19 UTC
If I boot a Fedora 15 alpha RC1 system as a guest under xen, then the text console isn't started (though it was working during the install process). There is a log entry in /var/log/messages saying
systemd[1] Job dev-hvc0.device/start timed out.
However /dev/hvc0 is definitely connected because I can read from and write to /dev/hvc0

Hmm, we are not marking hvc devices for exposure in systemd right now. This is fixed in git:

http://cgit.freedesktop.org/systemd/commit/?id=230e12e3379a4311b939476758b2375f08320aaa

If you need a quick fix then consider applying this to /lib/udev/rules.d/99-systemd.rules manually.

Otherwise this will be in the next release and shortly in rawhide.
