on my laptop, sound works fine using kernel-2.6.32-94.el6.i686, but doesn't work on kernel-2.6.32-113.el6.i686. These kernels are pulled from the 6.1 build repo:

 http://download.lab.bos.redhat.com/brewroot/repos/RHEL-6.1-build/latest/i386/

no oops or errors were noticed in dmesg on -113, but I wouldn't know where to look for useful info. Can reproduced/collect data as needed.
