A notable change is support for SSL-encrypted connections for GG protocol, as of 0.6.6-beta16 (http://gitorious.org/kadu/kadu/blobs/master/ChangeLog#line61). This requires libgadu-1.10.0 or newer, which I've just built on rawhide and submitted updates for other branches.
