Description David Le Sage 2011-02-28 07:19:01 UTC
Description of problem:
If you install from the Alpha RC2 DVD and try to select the gnome-applets, you will encounter dependency problems.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Fed 15 Alpha RC2 64 Bit DVD

How reproducible:
Every time.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Boot the DVD and choose to do a fresh installation of Fedora 15.
2. When you come to choose extra installation sources, include the Fedora 15 repo.
3. Choose to customise the package selection now.
4. Choose gnome applets as one of the packages to install.

Actual results:
When Anaconda analyses the dependencies, it will report that a number of packages, such as the weather applet are needed by the package and these are unavailable.

Expected results:
No dependency problems.

Additional info:
I understand the panel applets are deprecated due to the move to the GNOME Shell so perhaps this package should not even be available to select during installation.
