The squid package as provided doesn't set up any log
rotation, so the logs eventually get very large indeed.

You could either try and integrate it with logrotate
or just use the simple rotation provided by squid itself
in say /etc/cron.daily (that's what I did; patch to follow).

already fixed in latest squid package (2.1.PATCH2-3)
