Do you have a test case to demonstrate the behaviour? From my reading of the code, the writeInterrupted variable is meant for exactly this purpose. stop() on a line sets it to true and the write() methods returns if it finds that the variable is true. This message is a notice that Fedora 14 is now at end of life. Fedora has stopped maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 14. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At this time, all open bugs with a Fedora 'version' of '14' have been closed as WONTFIX. (Please note: Our normal process is to give advanced warning of this occurring, but we forgot to do that. A thousand apologies.) Created attachment 481481 [details] PulseAudioSourceDataLine diff Thread a) calls write() on the dataline. Their is not sufficient capacity on the underlying stream to write the entire data length that is passed in on the write call so the code loops on 'available'. In the meantime, another thread stops the line. The first thread will be stuck in the write() call until the line is restarted. Patch attached to check if the line is still running whilst in the available loop. If not, return the data length that could be written.
