Comment 2 Adam Stokes 2011-03-16 03:08:21 UTC
Hi Andreas,

Is there a src.rpm on koji anywhere or personal repo?

Thanks
Adam

Proposed new .spec file for building fluxbox from sources

This .spec file has been reworked from the file present in Fedora's fluxbox git tree in http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/gitweb/?p=fluxbox.git;a=blob;f=fluxbox.spec;h=44c37aa14c564786a31b4631cc817993b4071364;hb=93d12019477d67561bd7f5136ce9cb230af51958

This new .spec file:

 - includes new subpackage (proposed name: fluxbox-vim-syntax) to optionally install vim syntax files included in fluxbox release
 - drops older patches (gcc43, DSO) that now seem to be no longer needed, at least from Fedora 13 onwards (untested in RHEL)
 - includes new requires/buildrequires for new fribidi support present in current fluxbox version.
 - starts the building process calling ./autogen.sh, then ./configure, as stated in the official fluxbox wiki instructions for building from source.

Tested and worked fine in Fedora 13, Fedora 14 and Fedora 15 alpha.

Comment 4 Daniel D. 2011-03-28 14:08:49 UTC
Issues with building on gcc 4.6.0 have been already patched upstream in fluxbox git: http://git.fluxbox.org/fluxbox.git/commit/?id=d28e105075e3ec46515c322ee5dca6967a4cc696

There's also a handful of bugfixes commited to their master git since the original 1.3.1 stable release in tar.gz

Comment 5 Andreas Bierfert 2011-03-28 18:26:14 UTC
