Description Zack Cerza 2011-03-02 22:55:12 UTC
When I try to add a buddy to an MSN account, I first get the "Authorization Request Message" dialog. I press OK, then I see a dialog with the following message:

Unable to Add
Unable to add the buddy xxxx because the username is invalid. Usernames must be valid email addresses.

Except it is a valid address; I know because I own the account.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
pidgin-2.6.6-5.el6.x86_64

How reproducible:
Always

Comment 1 RHEL Program Management 2011-04-04 02:10:37 UTC
Since RHEL 6.1 External Beta has begun, and this bug remains
unresolved, it has been rejected as it is not proposed as
exception or blocker.

Red Hat invites you to ask your support representative to
propose this request, if appropriate and relevant, in the
next release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
