I mean the last request to be that the URL in the plugin description be changed from the author's homepage to a page describing the fork. Pardon? What exactly do you request here? The current stable release of Audacious is 2.4.4, and it has been released for Fedora 14 and 15 already. The 2.5-alpha2 development release is available for Fedora 16 development and can also be found in my fedorapeople repo for Fedora 14. Sorry, for some reason my machine didn't have 2.4.4 just yet. But my core issue still remains. Attempting to clarify: The libnotify-aosd plugin from audacious-plugins states in the Audacious preferences that it is forked. When you select it and click "Information", it links to the homepage of the plugin, which contains no information about the fork. Additionally, neither does the description of audacious-plugins; where is someone supposed to get information on the fork? The official version of the plugin is 0.1.3 while the version shipped in Fedora is "0.1.1 (forked)". There are supposedly some enhancements in the new version that I would appreciate being able to use. The version shipped in Fedora is from the official "audacious-plugins" release made by the Audacious developers. Here you can find one thread of communication between the original libnotify-aosd author and Audacious upstream: http://boards.audacious-media-player.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=150 Please join there with any questions. |
