Description of problem:
If GNote is in the GNOME Shell notification area, clicking on it does not bring it up as the foremost window for the user.  Also, its icon does not appear next to it.  

By contrast, an application like Liferea comes straight to the forefront and its icon, as well as its name, appears correctly in the notification area.

gnote-0.7.3-8.fc15.x86_64

How reproducible:
Every time.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Launch GNote and then work in other windows so that it is backgrounded.
2. Hover mouse at bottom of screen so that notification area pops up.
3. Click on GNote.
  
Actual results:
Nothing happens.


Expected results:
Application window should jump to the foreground.

Works for me and I am the gnote maintainer in Fedora.

The behavior of gnome-shell changes sometime during the beta -- previously, you have to click on the icon, not on the text, of a notification area entry for the application to be triggered. This could be confusing; I remember having to try several times to get gnote's menu.

It was a usability issue previously, but in any case, is now fixed sometime between 2.91.90 and 3.0.0

(still not sure why the icon was not even loading for David, but anyway, now clicking on the text also pops the application up)
