Description Bastien Nocera 2011-03-05 19:01:34 UTC
Using F15 Alpha RC2:
http://serverbeach1.fedoraproject.org/pub/alt/stage/15-Alpha.RC2/Live/x86_64/Fedora-15-Alpha-x86_64-Live-Desktop.iso

After installation, firstboot is not launched, and I get to a GDM login without any normal users created.

Comment 1 Bastien Nocera 2011-03-07 17:32:40 UTC
Restarting the machine made firstboot show up (but by that time, I had already started using the system, and some of the questions were certainly obsolete).

Comment 2 Martin Gracik 2011-03-08 09:02:23 UTC
I downloaded the iso you provided, and installed fedora, and firstboot runs ok, so I cannot reproduce this bug. Didn't you do any special steps?

Comment 3 Timothy Davis 2011-03-09 12:29:38 UTC
Happened to me too,
System: Athlon FX-60 2Gb DDR 8500GT
250Gb SATA 160Gb SATA 160Gb 160Gb
Installed on second 160Gb IDE drive from the DVD (x86_64)
Used the Alpha released DVD, firstboot didn't start the first time, logged in
as root and created a user, logged in at GDM with the user I created
After a reboot firstboot started.

Comment 4 Martin Gracik 2011-03-14 08:30:29 UTC
Please attach /var/log/messages and /tmp/firstboot* if present.

Comment 5 Bastien Nocera 2011-03-14 15:26:36 UTC
I don't have access to the machine where I did this installation. Hopefully Timothy will be able to provide the logs.

Comment 6 Timothy Davis 2011-03-14 15:38:12 UTC
If I have to I can reinstall, but it will have to wait until later tonight

Comment 8 Martin Gracik 2011-04-06 11:34:21 UTC
Can you reproduce this with the beta?

I meant, with the _latest_ alpha...

Comment 10 Timothy Davis 2011-04-06 11:45:26 UTC
Actually with the Beta TC1 it works, first boot started
Arch is x86_64 installed from DVD
