Description Al Rix 2011-03-07 15:40:59 UTC
Description of problem:
Thinkpad_acpi module does not support new thinkpads

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Current kernel uses 0.23.

How reproducible:
On thinkpad X100e using modprobe thinkpad_acpi

Steps to Reproduce:
1. modprobe thinkpad_acpi
2.
3.

Actual results:
kernel: thinkpad_acpi: Not yet supported ThinkPad detected!

Expected results:
Kernel messages reporting ACPI functions working. lm_sensors reporting thermal zones and fan speed.

Additional info:
Works with 0.23-0.24 patch of thinkpad_acpi module applied to existing kernel source (2.6.32-71.18.1.el6.x86_64) - effectively creating a backported module. Now using backported RPM version from ELRepo.
