in 6.1-10 there's now message when running setup before installation finished:
"Setup must be run after installation and reboot"

Let's block "setup" in rescue mode for now and investigate when we have time terminal issues in emergency shell and ssh (please clone this part as 6.3 bz).

Comment 12 Mohua Li 2011-08-30 08:25:15 UTC
rhev-hypervisor 6.2-0.14, only disable the "setup" in rescue mode, didn't disable in ssh mode, and didn't work at all in "single" mode(mess screen), as comment 9 imply, we should disable this as workaround for the time being,

for single mode, if we need to disable it or fix it in this bug?

Comment 13 Mohua Li 2011-08-31 07:41:27 UTC
assign this bug, as the fix is not complete, you could comment if you have different ideas,

setup in ssh screenshot

See the screenshot, ssh admin.11.120, get the setup page directly.

it's easy to reproduce by reboot rhevh, and then do "ssh admin@rhevh_host".

This is not rescue mode and there isn't hang (original issue), setup over ssh in normal runlevel is fine.

so change the bug status to be verified, as setup is disabled in rescue mode and single mode on 6.2-0.16.2.

for ssh mode, should we clone this bug to 6.3 or it's just fine now?

It's fine, important is that running setup again from drop-to-shell (F2) is prevented.

Comment 28 Guohua Ouyang 2011-09-14 01:42:08 UTC
thanks for the confirm.
on 6.2-0.16.2, running setup again from drop-to-shell (F2) is prevented.

so we are ok with this bug.
