Description Andrew Jones 2011-03-09 10:37:06 UTC
Installation can use console=hvc0 fine, but then booting the guest fails to use it. This message is output

Starting Serial Getty on hvc0 failed, see 'systemctl status serial-getty' for details.

Running the suggested command (done from an ssh connection to the guest, since the hvc0 console doesn't work)

serial-getty - Serial Getty on hvc0
	  Loaded: loaded (/lib/systemd/system/serial-getty@.service)
	  Active: inactive (dead)
	  CGroup: name=systemd:/system/serial-getty@.service/hvc0

Which version of systemd is this? If you steal systemd v20 from koji, does the problem go away?

Comment 2 Andrew Jones 2011-03-09 13:57:47 UTC
It was

systemd-18-1.fc15.i686
systemd-units-18-1.fc15.i686

Solved with v20. Thanks!
