This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description of problem:

Process /usr/bin/xdm was killed by signal 11 (SIGSEGV)

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

    * release: Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 6.0 (Santiago)

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Setting up xdm
2.uncomment /etc/X11/xdm/Xaccess line #* any host access
3.uncomment /etc/X11/xdm/xdm-config line Displaymanager.requestPort: 0
4.from root command propmt : xdm &
5.Attempt login from windows PC
6.Login box appearred
7.Logged in
8.crash
  
Actual results:
application crashed.

Expected results:
application should not crash.

This Bugzilla has been reviewed by Red Hat and is not planned on being addressed in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6, and will be closed. If this bug is critical to production systems, please contact your Red Hat support representative and provide sufficient business justification.
