Description Jacob Hunt 2011-03-09 18:02:05 UTC
Description of problem:

The documentation link:

http://docs.redhat.com/docs/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux/6/html/SystemTap_Beginners_Guide/using-systemtap.html#using-setup

Demonstrates how to configure yum to access the debuginfo packages from ftp.redhat.com. With RHEL 6 the debuginfo packages are now in RHN.

Actual results:

Unable to access debuginfo packages per the instructions on the documentation

Expected results:

Correct configuration steps.

Comment 2 William Cohen 2011-03-09 19:00:58 UTC
There has been some fixup in the upstream manual to address this for RHEL:

http://sources.redhat.com/git/gitweb.cgi?p=systemtap.git;a=commit;h=723d90dc57980faddeba50cd707ad9d9fdcf05f2

Comment 3 Frank Ch. Eigler 2011-03-12 16:32:56 UTC
Note that the docs.redhat.com copy of the documentation is extracted periodically from the systemtap sources by a separate group. While we can update the version of the docs that is packed within the RPM, we cannot update docs.redhat.com ourselves.
