Description Paul W. Frields 2011-03-10 13:14:40 UTC
By default, Fedora ships with a firewall configuration that does not allow connections on port 5900. That means that if a user follows only the directions in Chapter 15 of the User Guide, their remote desktop capability will still not work. This chapter should include:

1. a pointer to the appropriate location in the Deployment Guide (or elsewhere) for how to change firewall settings

2. the specific information that TCP port 5900 must be added to the list of ports on which the firewall will allow connections

Comment 1 Florian Nadge 2011-10-10 16:53:14 UTC
The current At the moment this chapter moved to 16 and is now called:
Chapter 16. Sharing your desktop.
