Description Ondrej Vasik 2011-03-10 18:54:16 UTC
Description of problem:
Please add ntp426 - replacement for ntp (Network Time Protocol daemon and utilities) to the distribution.

Review bugzilla is https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=683910 .

Additional info:
Package ntp is on RHEL-5.7 approved component list, but many customer requested bugzillas are hard (and risky) to solve without rebase. We tried the rebase, errata RHBA-2011:10859-01 is already filled, but because of new incompatibilities found and QE capacity concerns for proper verification, QE wants to introduce new ntp426 package which should be replacement for ntp (in most cases the changes and incompatibilities are not relevant for customers).

Therefore ntp errata will be dropped and ntp426 should replace it on approved component list.
