Comment ----- nautilus and brassero crashes ?! :( Package: nautilus-2.32.2.1-2.fc14 Architecture: i686 OS Release: Fedora release 14 (Laughlin) How to reproduce ----- 1. I'm not quite sure. I was adding iso file to nautiluse's cd/dvd burning folder. 2. 3. Package: nautilus-2.32.2.1-2.fc14 Architecture: i686 OS Release: Fedora release 14 (Laughlin) How to reproduce ----- 1. Tried to create ISO CD by burning to disc. As soon as BTD was selected (tried using Ubuntu 10.10 ISO) crashed. Package: nautilus-2.32.2.1-2.fc14 Architecture: i686 OS Release: Fedora release 14 (Laughlin) How to reproduce ----- 1. obtain a bootable .iso image 2.use GUI per: Applications => system tools => CD/DVD Creator 3.copy & paste .iso image to window 4. select "write to disk" icon Comment ----- crash is immediate after step 4. window dissappears and crash submit appears. The install is new -- I see 119 updates pending. I will retest after updates and report if outcome is different. Package: nautilus-2.32.2.1-2.fc14 Architecture: i686 OS Release: Fedora release 14 (Laughlin) How to reproduce ----- I chose to burn an image to a DVD and it crashed when I clicked the button burn as image. I stand corrected by Sly -- step 5 is "burn as image". Further -- no change after bringing OS up-to-date yesterday. My note #10 duplicates #4 & #5 [sorry]... Kudos to automatic bug reporting - it merged similar incidents nicely. *** Bug 702927 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 650595 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 668269 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 654610 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 663700 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 699566 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Package: nautilus-2.32.2.1-2.fc14 Architecture: i686 OS Release: Fedora release 14 (Laughlin) How to reproduce ----- 1.opened file window and draged .io to cd/dvd creator 2. 3. Package: nautilus-3.0.2-1.fc15 Architecture: i686 OS Release: Fedora release 15 (Lovelock) Comment ----- 1. Selected Fedora-17-i686-Live-Desktop.iso in Nautilus from my downloads folder 2. Dragged the one selected file to "blank CD-R" pane 3. Clicked on "Write to Disc" 4. Popup dialog asks "Do you want to create a disc from the contents of the image or with the image file inside?" I chose "Burn Contents..." 5. All Nautilus dialogs and windows disappear; crash notification appears. The crash reproduces every time (4x so far) when I tried it again to fill in detail in this report. Only instead of a second pane for the blank CD-R, I created a new tab which already held the previous dragged .iso. The disc name field shows "Data disc (12 Aug 12)"; I don't know if that came from the disc or not. Right clicking on the Nautilus entry for the file and chosing "Write to disc..." worked fine. This message is a notice that Fedora 14 is now at end of life. Fedora has stopped maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 14. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At this time, all open bugs with a Fedora 'version' of '14' have been closed as WONTFIX. (Please note: Our normal process is to give advanced warning of this occurring, but we forgot to do that. A thousand apologies.) Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, feel free to reopen this bug and simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version. Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were unable to fix it before Fedora 14 reached end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged to click on "Clone This Bug" (top right of this page) and open it against that version of Fedora. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete. The process we are following is described here: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers/HouseKeeping |
