Description dlelliott99 2011-03-14 12:55:01 UTC
Description of problem:
This is a reply to your request for more information about the icons that appeared in the first screen that came up after the installation and initial login was complete.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Fedora 15 - Alpha 64 bit

How reproducible:
Not sure

Steps to Reproduce:
1.The first screen that came up had all the icons for everything. To the right was a listing of choices for selecting a list of icons for a particular menu such as office, games, graphics, etc. This too is really nice for everything is there for one particualar set of features: office, etc.
2.At some time in working with this screen, I must have clicked on something that took me to the usual opening screen for Fedora 14. What I did I am not sure.
3.

Actual results:
I opened LibreOffice. The Format view did not appear. I finally got it selected correctly. No fonts showed up nor did the font sizes. I did go to the Format -> character screen. I selected the overstrike using the / for the overstrike. I tried this with several fonts. Selecting the individual words option helped somewhat but it still is not correct. Try this yourself with the URW Bookman L font (a very nice font). The problem is obvious.

Expected results:
There are some excellent ideas in this Fedora 15 I think, but I won't try it again until a later release.

Additional info:
Fedora is an excellent program. I am looking forward to trying this again. Thank you for contacting me.

We're missing the context here. I don't know who you were discussing the problem with, but it's unlikely to have been the maintainer of the 'fedora-release' package. The package is just a small one with a few files that identify the distribution. It is not the right component to file a bugreport concerning LibreOffice.

Alpha, I see. it is likely the bug was fixed in the final F15 release. If you're seeing the bug in a current release, feel free to file a new bugreport. Just try to identify a more appropriate component to file against. Folks on IRC may help you identify the right one.
