How to reproduce
-----
1. Attached 2 external drives (usb)
2. right-click each on the desktop and select 'mount'
3. Double click on each, to open in separate file browser windows
4. crash. I'm not sure if this was the exact cause, but it's what I was doing at the time.

Interesting. Perhaps some kind of race condition. 

Can you duplicate it again? The crash doesn't seem to have a lot of data in it, but I can get upstream to look into it, especially if you can get it to happen repeatably.
