Description ellson 2002-07-11 18:25:58 UTC
Description of Problem:
I was looking for an example of a man page that was built
from docbook xml sources. libxsltproc seemed a likely candidate
and does in fact do so. Unfortunately the sources are not
included in the src.rpm, even though xsltproc.1 clearly
indicates that it was built from separate docbook sources.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
libxslt-1.0.18-2.src.rpm

How Reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

Actual Results:

Expected Results:
When man pages are derivative products please include
original sources.

Additional Information:

Okay, fixed in libxslt CVS, now the doc/xsltproc.xml file is added
to the source tarball. However the stylesheets and commands to transform
it into the xsltproc.1 man pages are not part of the package.

this should show up on RawHide at the next release.

Wouldn't docbook->manpage stylesheets be a part of docbook-style-xsl?
i.e. wouldn't you want the same stylesheets to be used for all manpages?

Comment 3 Daniel Veillard 2002-07-11 21:06:41 UTC
The xsltproc XML and man page were provided as part of the open-source
libxslt project and are not part of Red Hat processing to provide
documentation. It might be possible to regenerate the man page using
xmlto command but I don't think it how the man page got generated in
the first place.
