* This bug applies to RH7.2 and 7.3, as well as recent betas.

If the kernel is passed 'root=/dev/cciss/c1d0p2' (i.e. root partition is on a
drive attached to the *second* cciss controller) then the kernel will be unable
to mount the root partition and will subsequently panic when it tries to call init.

Whereas if the root partition is from the first cciss controller the analogous
parameter 'root=/dev/cciss/c0d0p2' works just fine.

The recent public beta (Limbo beta 1) gets around this issue by using partition
labels (i.e. 'root=LABEL=/').  This works, but if you change the root= parameter
to the device name the same problem appears.

Thanks for the bug report. However, Red Hat no longer maintains this version of
the product. Please upgrade to the latest version and open a new bug if the problem
persists.

The Fedora Legacy project (http://fedoralegacy.org/) maintains some older releases, 
and if you believe this bug is interesting to them, please report the problem in
the bug tracker at: http://bugzilla.fedora.us/
