Does changing the font preferences in other apps also crash? TIA - in answer to your queation, no. Post that time, I have reinstalled and tried out Empathy and "simple" XChat without problems, decided I prefer the Gnome front end and set it up satisfactorily. Although I am unable to follow your checking procedures I still feel that I made a simple boo-boo (that of a 77-year-old!) Don This message is a notice that Fedora 14 is now at end of life.
