Description Brian Lane 2011-03-17 18:28:14 UTC
On the generated media the grub efi file is missing from the DVD. It is present in the eltorito image, but it would be convenient to have it available on the iso as well for things like livecd-iso-to-disk to use when making EFI bootable USB sticks.

Comment 2 Dennis Gregorovic 2011-03-18 03:10:15 UTC
What would be the command for generating this image?

Comment 3 Brian Lane 2011-03-21 17:08:21 UTC
BOOTX64.efi is just a copy of grub.efi from the grub package. It is already being used for creating the eltorito image so should already be available.

Comment 4 Dennis Gregorovic 2011-03-21 18:13:14 UTC
$ rpm -qlp grub-0.97-70.el6.x86_64.rpm | grep efi
/boot/efi/EFI/redhat
/boot/efi/EFI/redhat/grub.efi

So just open grub.x86_64 and
  cp /boot/efi/EFI/redhat/grub.efi <tree root>/os/EFI/BOOT/BOOTX64.efi
?

yes

Comment 6 Suzanne Logcher 2011-03-28 19:55:21 UTC
Since RHEL 6.1 External Beta has begun, and this bug remains
unresolved, it has been rejected as it is not proposed as an
exception or blocker.

Red Hat invites you to ask your support representative to
propose this request, if appropriate and relevant, in the
next release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

Comment 9 Alexander Todorov 2011-04-18 13:46:25 UTC
* EFI/BOOT/BOOTX64.efi - present in snap #4 trees accessible over http
* EFI/BOOT/BOOTX64.efi - available on snap #4 DVD ISO
