Description Eric Paris 2011-03-21 21:31:55 UTC
virt-manager-0.8.6-3.el6.noarch

Created a VM with a file in /var/lib/libvirt/images as it's disk image. Delete that file using rm. Attempt to delete the storage device from the guest using virt-manager.

If I tried to click on the storage device in the details screen it would complain that the file was not found. Since I couldn't click on the storage device I could delete it.

I had to touch that file, remove it from the virtual machine on the details screen, then remove it from disk using rm.

Although an error certainly makes sense, I want to be able to fix that error using virt-manager rather than being unable to interact with the broken storage device altogether.

Comment 2 RHEL Program Management 2011-04-04 02:15:04 UTC
Since RHEL 6.1 External Beta has begun, and this bug remains
unresolved, it has been rejected as it is not proposed as
exception or blocker.

Red Hat invites you to ask your support representative to
propose this request, if appropriate and relevant, in the
next release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

Comment 3 Cole Robinson 2011-04-07 18:53:35 UTC
Hmm, I can't reproduce this. Certainly virt-manager should be able to cope with the disk image not being found.

Running or offline guest?
Are you deleting the disk image while virt-manager is running?
What's the exact error you are seeing?
Please also provide the output of virt-manager --debug when reproducing?

Comment 4 Cole Robinson 2011-06-10 21:58:23 UTC
Since no response, closing as WORKSFORME. Eric, please reopen if you can still reproduce.
