File: backtrace
What this ParsingError exception means? How should the authconfig behave in such situation? Should it create a new config and overwrite the erroneous one? ParsingError means exactly what it sounds like. The existing config file is formatted incorrectly. I'd need to see the original sssd.conf to identify the exact parsing error. I'm not sure it's safe to overwrite the config. Perhaps we can save a backup first, then create a new file with the defaults from authconfig? If we do this, authconfig would need to warn loudly that such a backup was made (since the config file may have had manual changes made to it). Can we please see the sssd.conf that is failing to parse? Since RHEL 6.1 External Beta has begun, and this bug remains unresolved, it has been rejected as it is not proposed as exception or blocker. Red Hat invites you to ask your support representative to propose this request, if appropriate and relevant, in the next release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux. This request was evaluated by Red Hat Product Management for inclusion in the current release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
