Description of problem:

When trying to change profiles (after the first time) tuned takes several minutes to stop ktune

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

tuned-0.2.10-1.fc15.noarch

How reproducible:


Steps to Reproduce:
1. Boot off pm live usb
2. Run tuned-adm for several different profiles
3.
  
Actual results:
 
Very long stall when trying to stop ktune

Expected results:

Much quicker execution

Additional info:

Output looks like

# tuned-adm profile throughput-performance
Stoppig ktune (via systemctl):

and then nothing for several minutes

Thank you for your report. But we will need more information.

Please, try following experiment.

1. run # tuned-adm profile throughput-performance
2. after a while, interrupt the command by pressing Control+C
3. run # sh -x /etc/init.d/ktune restart

I will need the output of the last command to see, where it got stuck.
