Description of problem:
We have new systems in inventory that are RHEL6 supported only.
Systems have latest hardware and inventory job is needed.

Is this a duplicate of bug 671475?  The inventory task now runs on RHEL6 (though you may need to explicitly install the smolt package).

The inventory scripts run on RHEL6 now:

# bkr machine-test --arch=ppc64 --variant=Server \
    --tag=RELEASED --family=RedHatEnterpriseLinux6 --inventory \
    --machine <fqdn>
