*** Bug 703844 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Also, the integration would then depend on the support from both side of the system. |
Copying information manually from TCMS to Jira or vice versa is quite cumbersome and tedious. It would be nice if TCMS was integrated with Jira in the following ways: 1) Test run's case would have a button to create a jira with test's information pre-filled. * Title = Test run title + test case title * Type Bug * Project * Affected version * A link to TCMS case -> Description or URL * A link to TCMS plan -> Description * Note -> Description * Comments from TCMS case -> Description * Reporter = assigned tester * Watching = manager * Environment = Environment 2) Every Jira created this way would be stored with a test case run and displayed in it as a link. 3) When creating Jira, TCMS would search all the runs of the same case for existing Jiras, and list them to allow choosing one of them to link with the case instead of creating a new one. 4) At the end of the run, there would be a form to create a tracking jira for the run, which would have two options: a) To create a prefilled jiras for each failing case, b) To link all jiras already bound with the cases. The "sub-jiras" would be linked with the tracking jira as "Incorporated by". 5) Tracking jira, similiar to 4), only for a test plan: Each test run of the given plan is processed as in 4), but the sub-issues are linked with a single tracking jira.
