Description Tim Russo 2002-07-17 19:22:48 UTC
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.5; Windows NT 5.0)

Description of problem:
No matter what type of partition scheme I use on my WD 60gig ata/100 drive, I
get a /dev/hdxx '/' failed to mount. Drive not formatted, or out of space. I
tried a 150mb /boot 1024mb swap and the rest for / and I tried letting it auto
partition for me, I tried it as hda and hdc, I tried in LBA mode and Large
mode. With Valhalla 7.3 it installs no problem using the same configuration.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Different sized partitions
2.Auto partition versus manual partitioning
3.Tried HD as LBA and Large block mode

Actual Results: Failed to Mount the '/' partition during install.

Expected Results: Mount the '/' partition and install packages to the harddrive

Additional info:

Using Abit AT7 motherboard with 60Gig WD drive on primary IDE (not the hpt 374
controller)
