Description of problem:
I installed Fedora 15 alpha from the DVD.  It seemed to boot without any delays.

After installing the latest OS updates, the boot hangs for about three minutes while plymouth is running.  The last message displayed before the boot stops progressing is:

Starting Tell Plymouth to Write Out Runtime Data

After three minutes, the boot continues and the login screen is displayed.

How reproducible:
happens every time

Steps to Reproduce:
1.  Start computer
2.  If you press Esc when plymouth starts, you can see the text messages indicating the services starting up

Actual results:
The boot hangs for three minutes when the message "Starting Tell Plymouth to Write Out Runtime Data" is displayed.

Expected results:
The boot should not hang so that the boot time is reduced.


Additional info:
The computer has a Pentium 4 CPU.  

The video card is Radeon X1650.  

The problem happens both with the latest kernel and with the kernel from the F15 Alpha DVD.

I have an almost similar problem on my computer.
A few days ago I installed Fedora 17 DVD but not directly: http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=286727
On each start it stops for about 1 min 20 sec at some random point.
Sometime it's after “[  OK ] Tell Plymouth to write out Runtime Data”, sometime it's after “[ OK ] Started Recreate Volatile files and folders”, sometime after these and so on... But it's in this “area”.
I updated Fedora, no change.
I asked on the forum about it, they said that it seems to be this bug.
I tried “dracut -f”, still no change.
It's not a big problem but still it's annoying.

I have the default kernel and drivers.

If the problem is in my installation, please help me solve it.
If not, what can I do to help you guys find the source of the problem and fix it..?

If I should have reported my problem as a new bug and not in a comment, sorry.
