Description tuxor 2011-03-27 11:14:39 UTC
Description of problem: Pidgin can't connect to icq server after latest updates.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
pidgin/libpurple 2.7.11-2.fc15

How reproducible: always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. update pidgin via yum
2. start pidgin
3. try to login to icq

Actual results: can't connect ("awaiting network connection")
(no logs in .xsession-errors or in pidgin when started from terminal)

Expected results: login to icq and show buddy list etc.

Additional info:
Workaround seems to be "yum downgrade pidgin libpurple" which downgrades to 2.7.11-1.fc15. After that server settings in ICQ-account stay the same:
Server: login.icq.com
Port: 5190
