Description of problem:

The field is too small to display all characters of 'Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux-Release_Notes-6-ja-JP'. Thus I cannot select corresponding language release not package.


Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Nitrate 3.3-4 

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Try to create a new test case
2. Select 'Red_Hat_Enterprise....' from the Available Component
3.
  
Actual results:
I cannot recognize the more than quarter of the component name which is cut off.

Expected results:
Scrollable?

Like the attachment, add tip to every component, how about it?

Thanks, tool tips solution would resolve this issue because no grantee how long is component name in future...

According to the current tcms code structure, adding tip solution will cost much effort and bring potential risk.
So will change font style of component names instead to resolve this issue.
Changing font size to 10px can cover almost all of them to be recognized in select field.

This bug has been fixed ,please verify in Verison 3.8.0

Verify 3.8.0-1 on stage ---->Fail

Verify step:
1. Try to create a new test case
2. Select 'MRG_Management_Framework_User...'component of 'Red_Hat_Enterprise MRG' product .
3. Check the long component .

Actual result:
1.There is still truncation for the long component.
2.the component font size is 12px via using the firebug of FF tool,not 10px.

As discussed with UE, 10px is so small that it will affect user to select other components. 12px will be okay.

Verify steps:
1. Try to create a new test case
2. Select 'MRG_Management_Framework_User...'component of 'Red_Hat_Enterprise MRG' product .
3. Check the long component .


Actual result:
1.There is still truncation for the long component.

Expected results:
Maybe we can add a tip when mouse over the component. The whole summary of the componet can pop-up to inform the user what the name is.

Please refer to Comment 3.Adding tip solution will cost much effort and bring potential risk since the component layout is generated automatically by Django.
So this bug can not be resolved at root in such a limited time.

if this bug can not be resolved in short time, i suggest keep assigned status.And QE don't verify it until it is fixed.

This bug has been fixed. Style of Component has been changed. When verify, please pay attention to check other page containing similar layout if the style is broken.

display well now.
