Description Bernd Broermann 2011-03-28 07:20:17 UTC
Description of problem:

when exporting the same directory to multiple hosts,
rpc.mountd / rpc.nfsd returns incomplete list
when lockup with

          showmount -e

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
RedHat6.0 x86_64
nfs-utils-1.2.2-7.el6.x86_64

How reproducible:

server# exportfs -i host1:/tmp
server# exportfs -i host2:/tmp

server# exportfs -v shows both entries

host1# showmount -e server
and
host2# showmount -e server

only show the first entry from every host.

- From both hosts the share is mountable.
- autofs for NFS will fail, because it uses showmount.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install RedHat 6.0 Kernel 2.6.32-71.el6.x86_6
2. yum install nfs-utils
3. exportfs -i 192.168.122.72:/tmp
   exportfs -i 192.168.122.1:/tmp

4. showmount -e

Actual results:
Export list for localhost:
/tmp 192.168.122.72

Expected results:
Export list for localhost:
/tmp 192.168.122.72
/tmp 192.168.122.1

Additional info:
Autofs will not work properly for NFS-Mounts.

Comment 2 Steve Dickson 2011-03-29 19:36:05 UTC
This seems to work with nfs-utils-1.2.3-5.el6:

# exportfs -i 192.168.122.72:/tmp
# exportfs -i -i 192.168.122.1:/tmp
# exportfs
/tmp 192.168.122.1
/tmp 192.168.122.72

Comment 3 RHEL Program Management 2011-04-04 01:57:18 UTC
Since RHEL 6.1 External Beta has begun, and this bug remains
unresolved, it has been rejected as it is not proposed as
exception or blocker.

Red Hat invites you to ask your support representative to
propose this request, if appropriate and relevant, in the
next release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
