Description Lubos Stanek 2011-03-28 19:52:46 UTC
Description of problem:
A standard build installs the default configuration to sensors3.conf. It also creates the /etc/sensors.d directory for users' customized configurations.

-----snip original .conf ----
# In general, local changes should not be added to this file, but rather
# placed in custom configuration files located in /etc/sensors.d. This
# approach makes further updates much easier.
-----snip original .conf ----

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
lm_sensors-3.2.0-1.fc14

How reproducible:
Install lm_sensors.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install lm_sensors package.
2. The /etc/sensors.d directory is missing.

Additional info:
The package lm_sensors should own this directory.
Also the update to 3.3.0 would be great including this fix.

Thank you for your report. I read on ml yesterday that a new version of lm-sensors is ready, but lm-sensors wasn't on mirror yet. I will fix it probably today later.

cooking new builds for rawhide -> f14

Comment 3 Lubos Stanek 2011-03-29 15:21:00 UTC
Thank you for the quick update.
The package works well for me including the configuration directory.

It would be great to create some users' supported area with specific boards configurations. Maybe it would be possible to take advantage of smolt and Fedora users base.
The lm_sensors' wiki page (http://www.lm-sensors.org/wiki/Configurations) does not provide too much.

I don't have that plan. Right place where to fix it is upstream. Write a patch against wiki and post it to mailing list. They are really nice and any help is welcomed :)

Happy hacking
