Description Andrew McNabb 2011-03-29 05:42:01 UTC
Upstream bug 6305 fixes a problem where accessibility settings (sticky keys and mouse keys) are disabled after 2 minutes of keyboard inactivity. Since this bug makes the accessibility modes almost completely unusable, would it be possible to add this patch to the XFCE packages in Fedora 14 and 15 until updates to the XFCE 4.6 and 4.8 releases include the patch?

Comment 1 Kevin Fenzi 2011-03-29 15:39:06 UTC
Yeah, I looked at this, and the commited patch is against 4.8 and doesn't apply cleanly to 4.6. ;(

I need to sit down and try and get it working with 4.6.

I'll try and do so.

Comment 2 Andrew McNabb 2011-03-29 16:25:59 UTC
If you're too busy with other stuff, let me know, and I might be able to try.

Comment 3 Kevin Fenzi 2011-03-29 16:51:59 UTC
If you have time to generate and test a 4.6 patch that would be great. ;)

If not, I will try and get to it at some point here...

This patch should fix the problem for sticky keys, bounce keys, mouse keys, and slow keys. I've tested it for mouse keys, and it seems to work. I will post it upstream momentarily.

Comment 5 Kevin Fenzi 2011-03-29 20:25:51 UTC
Excellent! ;)

I'll push out a test update here in a bit after some quick testing here.
