Description Fabien Archambault 2011-03-30 12:57:42 UTC
Description of problem: I tried installing a software with PackageKit and it was not able to resolve the dependency.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): PackageKit-0.6.13-1.fc15.x86_64

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Check that yumex is not installed
2. # yumex
3. # yumex
4. y

Actual results:
# yumex
bash: yumex: command not found...
[root@localhost ~]# yumex
bash: yumex: command not found...
Install package 'yumex' to provide command 'yumex'? [N/y]

 * Running..
 * Resolving dependencies..
The following packages have to be installed:
 pexpect-2.3-6.fc15.noarch	Pure Python Expect-like module
Proceed with changes? [N/y] The transaction did not proceed.
Failed to install packages: user declined simulation

Expected results: It says I stopped the transaction but I tried twice that I typed 'y' exactly.

Additional info:
# yum install yumex
Loaded plugins: auto-update-debuginfo, langpacks, presto, refresh-packagekit

Comment 1 Richard Hughes 2011-04-26 11:26:14 UTC
Are you using gnome-terminal?

Comment 2 Fabien Archambault 2011-04-26 11:46:34 UTC
Yes I believe I am using gnome-terminal (default installation). I should check that the problem is still available with the latest updates.

Comment 3 Richard Hughes 2012-02-02 09:28:47 UTC
Is this fixed on F16? It seems to work for me.

Comment 4 Fabien Archambault 2012-02-02 16:15:07 UTC
Here it is on F16:
$ ghex2
bash: ghex2: commande inconnue...
$

Stll not working (on 2 computers)

Comment 5 Fedora End Of Life 2012-08-07 18:10:08 UTC
This message is a notice that Fedora 15 is now at end of life. Fedora
has stopped maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 15. It is
Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no
longer maintained. At this time, all open bugs with a Fedora 'version'
of '15' have been closed as WONTFIX.

(Please note: Our normal process is to give advanced warning of this
occurring, but we forgot to do that. A thousand apologies.)

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, feel free to reopen
this bug and simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version.

Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that
we were unable to fix it before Fedora 15 reached end of life. If you
would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it
against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged to click on
"Clone This Bug" (top right of this page) and open it against that
version of Fedora.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's
lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes
bugs or makes them obsolete.

The process we are following is described here:
