Fixed in 8ef600be25a3b94d686d752926c727ca23d68614. Reopening this bug... The following text in the usage/help is incorrect and misleading: ================================ Examples: $ qpid-config add queue q $ qpid-config add exchange direct d localhost:5672 $ qpid-config exchanges 10.1.1.7:10000 $ qpid-config queues guest/guest@broker-host:10000 ================================ This text suggests that the URL is an argument when it is an option (-a) Fixed again upstream in revision 1103897. The help content issue has been fixed, tested on RHEL5.6 / 6.1 i[36]86 / x86_64 on packages: qpid-tools-0.10-5.el5.noarch qpid-tools-0.10-4.el6.noarch -> VERIFIED An advisory has been issued which should help the problem described in this bug report.
