Created attachment 488818 [details]
install.log

Description of problem:

Should initscripts %require mdadm? Or should mdadm be included in @base

# systemctl start remote-fs.target
/etc/rc.d/init.d/netfs: line 47: mdadm: command not found
Setting up Logical Volume Management: 2 logical volume(s) in volume group "vg_test1101" now active

Checking network-attached filesystems
fsck.ext4: Unable to resolve 'UUID=1f7631bc-e441-4e1e-8cf8-f91469b2f454'
[FAILED]

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
 * initscripts-9.28-1.fc15.x86_64

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Do a minimal install with iSCSI on a non-root partition (/opt)

Actual results:

Observe netfs failure on bootup

Expected results:

I'm guessing mdadm should have been installed

Additional info:
 * see attached install.log
 * Added to F15Blocker due to final release criteria (https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_15_Final_Release_Criteria)

"The installer must be able to complete an installation using IDE, SATA, SCSI and iSCSI storage devices"

Comment 1 Bill Nottingham 2011-03-30 16:29:57 UTC
mdadm is in base, not minimal. That's intentional.

Fixed in http://git.fedorahosted.org/git/?p=initscripts.git;a=commitdiff;h=ae1353b8528561a41fe82314f3ee010a82e6da7a

Comment 2 James Laska 2011-04-14 19:41:48 UTC
Confirmed this issue is fixed with https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/initscripts-9.29-1.fc15

Comment 3 Adam Williamson 2011-04-15 19:08:59 UTC
discussed at 2011-04-15 blocker review meeting. As this seems to be cosmetic, rejected as a blocker: jlaska says it didn't seem to lead to anything not working.

Comment 4 Fedora End Of Life 2012-08-07 20:27:46 UTC
This message is a notice that Fedora 15 is now at end of life. Fedora
has stopped maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 15. It is
Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no
longer maintained. At this time, all open bugs with a Fedora 'version'
of '15' have been closed as WONTFIX.

(Please note: Our normal process is to give advanced warning of this
occurring, but we forgot to do that. A thousand apologies.)

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, feel free to reopen
this bug and simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version.

Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that
we were unable to fix it before Fedora 15 reached end of life. If you
would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it
against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged to click on
"Clone This Bug" (top right of this page) and open it against that
version of Fedora.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's
lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes
bugs or makes them obsolete.

The process we are following is described here:
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers/HouseKeeping

Comment 5 Adam Williamson 2012-08-08 23:28:21 UTC
as there was an update to fix this in f15, let's call it fixed.
