we have decided to 

1. remove the sasl DB from the distribution by modifying the spec file.
2. change the conf file to not refer to it.
3. modify the documentation to explain how users can set this up themselves.

Also need to ensure that there are no unforeseen issues in end-user experience, e.g. running examples etc against the qpidd service.

I added the usual 2.0 flags so that the various parties can vote.  Be advised, however: this issue needs a little more debate before we commit.
