Description George Beshers 2011-03-31 19:21:04 UTC
Description of problem:
After installation the efi shell was the default
boot option. Not harmful but a manual change was
needed to the boot manager for the system to reboot
  automatically.

  Further testing required.
A kbase may be the easiest solution.

George,

DO you have suggested text for a release note or kbase?

Comment 3 gbeshers 2011-04-01 01:50:02 UTC
Hi Ron,

I will provide text or, if the snap solves the problem,
close the BZ.

George

Comment 4 RHEL Program Management 2011-04-04 02:49:45 UTC
Since RHEL 6.1 External Beta has begun, and this bug remains
unresolved, it has been rejected as it is not proposed as
exception or blocker.

Red Hat invites you to ask your support representative to
propose this request, if appropriate and relevant, in the
next release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

Comment 5 George Beshers 2011-04-12 21:03:40 UTC

This will be a kbase note. The contents
of the note will describe how to setup
the boot manager so that the RHEL kernel
is automatically booted to avoid manual
intervention going through the EFI shell.

I believe that the instructions will be
mildly UV specific, but the setup is not
onerous.

George

Comment 10 Marizol Martinez 2011-06-03 18:55:57 UTC
Removed all flags as this BZ is only being use to track the creation of the kbase article.

Is this done? If so, can we close the bug?

Comment 13 David Cantrell 2012-07-06 17:41:47 UTC
This bug is so dated, I'm closing it out. If the kbase article is still outstanding, just reopen the bug.
