Description Zdenek Kabelac 2011-04-02 18:29:36 UTC
Description of problem:

With recent change and update to pidgin and NetworkManager (which is also somewhat uncomfortable) current pidgin is not able to log in.

Then either I could manually disable and enable each connection I want to use - or I could start pidgin with option '-f' (--force-online) - both this options allows full normal usage.

So it probably looks like NM and Pidgin current do not understand each other.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
pidgin-2.7.11-2.fc16.x86_64
NetworkManager-0.8.997-8.git20110331.fc15.x86_64

Please fix this bug ASAP because it basically renders pidgin unusable in F15 and greater. Required patches are available at

Ok, I figured out that Dan is already working on this.
